AGM 2019

30 September 2019

It was gratifying to see so many Branch Members attend the Annual General Meeting on 25 September.  Heide Jenkins, our valued President and multi-talented stitcher, opened the proceedings, welcoming established and new Members to the Branch’s 74th AGM.  Our ever-capable and dedicated Chair, Pauline Lawrence, summed up a great year of stitching.  Pauline highlighted our well-attended workshops and talks from visiting speakers, the many successful branch-member-led classes and our very enjoyable Summer Outing to the wonderful Silk Mill at Whitchurch.  Our hard-working and invaluable treasurer, Rosy Wilson, outlined the finance position, which remained healthy.  June Withers, the font of knowledge who is our Programme Secretary, thanked all for their enthusiastic participation in classes through the year and looked forward to new activities ahead as she finalises the upcoming programme.

It’s been an excellent year for the Reading Branch.  A big thank-you to all Members and may the coming year be equally fun and fruitful.
